Again Professor Brettell enlightens us on the Impressionists, analysing an era within the history of art that launched the birth of modernity and changed the way we see the world. We begin by looking at the troubled state of art in France in the 1850’s and the development of impressionism following the rebuilding of Paris by Napoleon III. | ||
