This course will continue on from Term 1, building on the knowledge and skills already learned, although new members with some Chi-Kung knowledge will be welcome to join our practice sessions.

Chi Kung is an exercise form aimed at balancing the body's energy. It is a Chinese 'moving' meditation with a series of specific postures that are done very slowly and gently with full awareness and mindfulness as a means for deep concentration, to stretch, strengthen and invigorate our whole being.

It is not ' meditation' in the (western) accepted sense of the word - it is very practical. The course aims to teach 'mini techniques', physical movements and thought processes that can be immediately effective anywhere, any time. Each session will cover a new skill or technique, building into a sequence and repertoire of 'favourites' you can utilise in your everyday routine.

What the course will cover
" warming up and stretching exercises;
" self-massage to improve circulation, unlock meridians & loosen joints;
" relaxation exercises: learning to rest your body and mind in order to release stress & tension.

As It will be 95% practical, participants will need to wear comfortable clothing. There is a little 'floor' work, but we will mainly work standing or seated; please bring a water bottle and mat or rug.
