various methods of painting and drawing. The class will be able to experiment in

The group is capped at 8 members to allow for plenty of student participation. Most sessions are dominated by assisted discussions and conversations in French on a variety of themes and topics, as requested by the class, with grammatical tuition as the need arises. More fluent speakers needing a higher standard should consider the courses at Hobart U3A. It is a very friendly, mutually supportive group, with a great sense of humour. | ||

Backgammon is an ancient game yet still played world-wide. It is easy to play, and is a quick game (15-20 mins). Though it is skillful, all levels of skill can enjoy it. The rolls of the dice add a bit of luck to the play (not too much, not too little, just the right amount!) such that a strong player does not always beat a lesser player. Boards provided, or bring your own. | ||
