M311 ITALIAN GRAZIANO CERON
A course of basic conversational Italian, with discourses on the history and culture of the Italian nation and on Italian-Australian connections . A continuing course, but new class members with appropriate knowledge are welcome.

M312 FRENCH HILARY FAWCETT
For those who can't quite remember...but used to know enough to read, write and converse a little. We try to brush off the cobwebs in a pleasant way. Spoken and conversational French are given equal weight with written French and revision of grammar. Friendly and mutually supportive group with a good sense of humour.

M313 THE JACOBITES (FROM WOE TO WOE!) JOHN HOOPER
A look at the Stuart family 1688-1788 and the lead-up to the times - causes and effects.

M314 FAVOURITE BOOKS REVISITED JOAN CARR
Do you have a favourite book - or one that has influenced you deeply? Share your experience with the group - this will be a participatory course.

M315 THE ECONOMY OF AUSTRALIA - A BIGGER CAKE STAN MAJEWSKI
A small cake cannot satisfy all. Everybody is fighting for a bigger slice. A bigger cake is essential for a good future. A recipe is proposed.

M321 20TH CENTURY PERSPECTIVES COLIN PYEFINCH
What were the significant events of the last 100 years? Would others agree with your choice? What would an architect, a doctor or a scientist say? Or someone with an interest in religion, music, literature or art? Ten speakers will offer their ideas and give us plenty to think about.

M322 COUNTRY DANCING ALISON JONES
Why take exercise seriously when it can be such fun? This is an undemanding way of keeping active in the social dances of different countries.

We examine the development of steamships and the rise and eventual decline of transatlantic maritime travel. A large part of the course covers the great era of the transatlantic superliners.

A course for people who have studied French to School Certificate or through Adult Education, no matter how long ago. The course will revise pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and will include some reading. A continuation course.

Starts with the big questions about us and the universe, and a quick look at the sizes of things we deal with. Cosmologists and physicists have recently been making exciting discoveries and the Big and Small appear to be siblings. This will be a revision of Parts I and II in moving meditation - a combination of mind over movement, with breathing in a relaxed fashion. Some new movements.

The history of the Islamic empire from 600 to 1500 AD. Particular attention is given to the life and faith of the Prophet Muhammad, the transmission and advancement of Greek and Indian scientific and medical knowledge and its passage via Spain into Western minds
